Katsina: This morning... From ma bed, I can hear the voices of children reciting the Glorious Quran. I felt excited that atleast there r children who can do muraja of Quran in the midst of this Sallah festival. I kept my ears wide opened cos Im enjoying the recitation. However, amidst their recitation, I heard one of them crying. I listened so as to knw what really makes this girl crying. In the end I got to knw that she was given a portion(of the Quran) to memorise, but she didnt/cant, therefore the mother took a next step of punishing her. Youll be surprised when you got to knw that the father is out of the country, hes performing pilgrimage at Saudi. Hes a famous Islamic Scholar whom he chose to devote all his time to propagate Islamic Religion. He doesnt hv enough(I mean enough) time to teach them. But because he built a good house, the children are still getting what he suppose to gv them himself(if NOT more). What came into my mind is that the role of mother is big, and that for a one to hv a successful family, he has to choose a good mother for his unborn children. Forget about the physical beauty/appearance. It fades. But knwledge never fades. Try to choose a good, educated, obedient lady as your partner(even if shes NOT excellently beautiful). Find someone who can teach your children Quran when youre busy in the office, someone who can wake up your children for subh prayer and permit them to recite Quran afterwards. Someone who can speak Arabic/English to your children. Someone who can teach your children English and Mathematics, Sciences and Arts, moral and good attitudes. Abstain from that wholl gather your children in your parlour to watch nollywoods, bollywoods, or kannywoods. That who can neither remind your son to pray, nor ask your daughter to wear hijab!
