Katyn Memorial at St. Adalberts cemetery.2nd photo is the memorial for those who died in the plane crash at Smolensk en route to a memorial service to mark the anniversary of Katyn massacre. Killed in that plane crash were countless Polish dignitaries, including the President of Poland and his wife. The sculptor/artist who created this memorial here in Chicago, also died in that crash, Wojciech Severyn. Ironically, his father was one of the Polish officers murdered at Katyn.
