Kawasan Falls… Get of your happy feet to Trinidad’s well-kept secret TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol – There are so many places here which are among Bohol’s well kept secrets. Kawasan Falls could be one of them. Concealed among the thick patches of forests bordering Trinidad and San Miguel, Kawasan Falls would not be among your expectations in unusually monotonous flat fields of barangay Santo Tomas, Banlasan and San Isidro. But, among the edges of these flat lands, grow a neat border of limestone hills with protruding boulders, lush forests and the snaking brooks, these when traced leads you to a roaring falls. Along the way, of course, you’ll have a crudely carved dirt track of carabao arts on roughly hewn hillsides. Mayor Judith Cajes and the Sangguniang Bayan have jointly identifiaed Kawasan, but a town like ours, we have to smartly spend our resources, and splurging on Kawasan is not yet that high on our priorities, she added. Kawasan is 13 kilometers from Poblacion Trinidad and reasonably close to another local tourism destination: Batongay Twin Peaks.
