Kayla was so persistent to rescue this pony. She heard about her from a boarders husband who worked on a job site next store and saw the pony in what was a very undesirable environment. Kayla drove to the boarded up building in the middle of the Bronx and asked around as to when the owner might visit. When told he might appear around 5pm she and Nick sat in a restaurant for 3 hours waiting to revisit. Others had tried to rescue her before but the owner was very defensive and would not even consider it. Kayla found the owner in his car and offered to give the pony a great home offering no judgement on his care and gaining the owners trust. Once he agreed Kayla and Nick drove the trailer down and now we have a happy ending for a very lovable little pony. This little pony had suffered in pain for years from foundering and now she is pain free and living free on a farm with loads of room to run. Thank you Kayla and Nick.
