Keep your eye on HIFU (high-intensity Focused Ultrasound) technology as it grows in medical application and acceptance in the medical community. Here is another application: Bone tumors. HIFU is currently used to treat various cancers (prostate, kidney, others) as well as uterine fibroids and breast fibroadenomas. There are also growing cosmetic aesthetic applications (melting adipose). I work for Sonacare Medical which has platforms to treat prostate and kidney cancer.
