Keep your pets safe this Thanksgiving Holiday! Turkey bones can be extremely dangerous to your pooch as they can splinter or get lodged in the esophagus and too many table scraps can cause pancreatitis. Check out this article from the ASPCA about Thanksgiving safety tips! aspca.org/pet-care/thanksgiving-safety-tips We would like to extend a huge thanks to all who have donated food this month for our Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. Homeward Pet and Old Dog Haven are great charities who are dedicated to finding loving homes to homeless pets in our region. Thanks again for your support! Here at Northgate Veterinary Clinic, we feel that the season of giving and thanks should happen all year round. Starting this month, every quarter, we will donate $1 from every exam to a charity. This quarter we will be donating to Homeward Pet and Old Dog Haven. When you come in for your next exam, you will be given a token (wooden heart) to place in a jar of your choosing, representing either Homeward Pet or Old Dog Haven. The jar with the most wooden hearts receives that donation for that quarter. Mark your calendars, Santa Claus is coming to Northgate Veterinary Clinic! On Friday December 19th from 12-5pm, Santa Claus will be stopping by to take photos with your furry family members! We just ask for a $5.00 suggested donation to have photos taken with Santa. All donations will go to The Doney Memorial Pet Clinic, who provides veterinary care to Seattle’s homeless population. We are all starting to decorate for the holiday season. Keep in mind some holiday plants can be dangerous if ingested by your pets; particularly poinsettias, lilies, holly, and mistletoe.
