Keeping Your Word It used to be that a man or a woman’s word was his/her BOND! In fact, at one point in history, people did not sign paper contracts on certain matters because people understood the power of giving their word. Today, unfortunately, people will make promises or commitments and abandon them just as fast as they gave it. It is so bad nowadays that it is hard to even believe people when they speak to you. It is a sad reality that many individuals having to live in constant suspicion of people’s words and motives. Despite the fact that the vast majority will not keep their word, those who seek to be world changers and successful MUST commit to being people of integrity. There have been times that I have given my word and meant to keep it; however, situations would arise that made keeping my word difficult. I would be tempted to abandon my word to take care of my own needs. However, there would be a voice inside of me saying “KEEP YOUR WORD, THAT IS ALL YOU HAVE!” I would keep my word even if it meant that I would suffer or go in lack. Even in times that I did not keep my word, when I saw the person or spoke to them, I would not pretend like I forgot what happened. I would immediately recognize my mistake and make an effort to make it right. In this age of the lack of integrity in keeping ones word, make a commitment to keep your word. The Bible says it is best to not make a vow/promise/commitment and break it. If you cannot do something, then be honest and say you cannot. However, people make promises and commitments because they fee they have to impress people, or over-perform for people’s approval, or present this false integrity so that people will not discover upfront that you really lack integrity. The truth is that the real you is REVEAL when its time to cash the check that your mouth/words write. Are people constantly getting “insufficient funds” messages from the bank of your WORDS? World Changers are Different from the masses. Start by being a person that make promises they can keep, be honest and humble when you mess up, and work diligently to do what you have to do to keep your word even if you have to go in lack. God will always provide for those who keep their word, even if it is at the last minute. #nextlevelliving #worldchanges #keepyourword
