Keeping you informed about what is going on in your area! Someone broke into a home in the 12,400 block of SE 141st Circle in Ocklawaha and stole $29,000 worth of jewelry. An unlocked vehicle parked at a home in the 3400 block of SE 134th Place in Belleview was entered and someone stole a garage door opener and sun glasses. Total loss $200.00 Someone forcibly entered a shed in the 14,000 block of SE 160th Place in Weirsdale and stole a $200.00 hedge cutter. Detectives Osborne and Spillman conducted additional follow up investigation into the vehicle Burglaries that occurred in Peppertree and Ocala East Villas Subdivisions. The investigation led to the arrest of 3 additional juveniles who took part in the burglaries. All three were arrested and Transported to the Jail. An unknown white male was in the Dollar General located on S Pine Ave, Ocala making a purchase of a small inexpensive item. The man questioned the manager about the price, who went and retrieved a UPC scanner to check and confirm the price. When the manager went back later to get the UPC scanner it was gone. The male could be seen on video taking the scanner valued at $3,000 Interdiction Unit Deputies Miller and Barker conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at the 350 mile marker on I-75 for a traffic violation. Upon contact with the occupants of the vehicle it was discovered that 23 year Curtis Goodman Jr. was a passenger in the listed vehicle and he was wanted for two counts of attempted 1st degree murder and one count of shooting into an occupied dwelling. He was placed under arrest at which time deputies located a 9mm semi-automatic hand gun in the seat pocket were the defendant had been sitting. Goodman was transported to O.P.D. for further investigation in reference to the listed warrants. 20 year old Abraham Hope was caught trying to steal over $300 in merchandise from the Wal-Mart located at 34 Bahia Ave, Ocala by loss prevention. Investigation revealed that Abraham abandoned the merchandise and fled on foot across Maricamp Road to the area of the KFC/Taco Bell and AutoZone. Abraham was ordered to stop several times by deputies but he continued ran around attempting to hide and get away from Deputy Rodriguez. Eventually he attempted to get a ride from a customer at the Taco Bell and jumped into the passenger seat of the vehicle uninvited and attempted to lie down in the back seat and hide. He was located, arrested and transported to the Gold Star Hotel Deputy McIntosh coordinated a proactive patrol in the area of the Shores and S. Pine areas with the assistance of Deputies Caruthers, Tucker, Fabian and K-9 Winkler. During this detail Dep. Caruthers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic offense at Dogwood Trail and Dogwood Trail Way. After contact was made with the driver 21 year old Ryan Reitmeier, K-9 Dep. Winkler and his K-9 “Solo” alerted on the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle a duffle bag was located which contained a large amount of marijuana that was packaged for distribution, 20 full and 33 pieces of prescription medications and approximately 5 gms of meth. They also located a scale and several plastic baggies. Ryan was arrested and transported to the Gold Star Hotel. That is all for today!
