Dare to volunteer for this worthwhile project, do good, and feel good! Shifts are 8.30 - 4.30 Tuesdays to Saturdays. Cheers and Solidarity, Ken C Mackenzie Hello everyone, Many thanks to all of you who have been coming out to the Prefab Shop to pitch in – we have the walls for the house done! Fantastic job to all the electricians, plumbers, plasterers, boilermakers, operating engineers, and, of course, carpenters! It is great to see everyone working together to achieve this goal. We’ll be starting to work on the floors in the Prefab Shop this weekend (and next weekend as well) – please note that there will be no work in the Prefab Shop on June 29, as it is the long weekend. WE ARE SHORT OF PEOPLE TO HELP THIS WEEKEND – if you haven’t come out yet and you’re available to lend a hand, please respond to this email and I’ll add you to the schedule and send you further information. We now have our building permit and had a great turnout for the sod-turning last week. You may have seen this on the media . A family with 5 children will be moving into the house – this is a huge thing for them, as the father of the family has had major health concerns over the last couple of years, so this family has been really struggling –they are overjoyed at having this opportunity. It was very heartwarming to see all the kids with their pint-sized shovels at the sod-turning!
