Kennel Settle time! What is that you ask? Well its a training program where a Staff Member or Volunteer takes time to just sit quietly in the kennel quietly listening to some light classical music, reads a book, or just relaxes with the dogs in their kennel. How does this help them? It helps to teach dogs that its ok to be calm, quiet, & relaxed in a stressful environment while strangers are passing or when there is someone in their cage. Or helps a shy dog become a little more confident. Or helps a crazy stressed out dog show better in their kennel. The results are amazing when you spend 10-15mins in a kennel with a couple dogs. As you can see some really like the company & even fall asleep! But better yet, you can see it also helps calm them all! So, if you ever stop by dont be startled by a random person sitting in a kennel but, feel free to stop to chat :) Who knows you might see a different side of a personality and maybe fall in love ♡♥
