Kent Lakes- Creative Explorations: Prehistoric and Ancient Art - Extension @ Carmel Arts Center, 4 Thursdays, 11/20-12/18, 4:15-5:45 pm, $65/ non-members, Exploring the magic of prehistoric cave paintings, sculptures and totems. Explore the magic of prehistoric cave paintings, such as those discovered at Lascaux. Create and “paint” a “cave”, inspired by the vivid imagery. Learn about ancient stone circles, such as Stonehenge, and create replicas in miniature. Simple animal “totems” and sculptures, musical instruments, and natural dyes will also be created. Creativity and individual expression will be emphasized, and the focus will be on stretching imaginations.
