Kevin, Brooke and Payton welcomed Anthony Jack Roche to their family Friday, December 19, 2014 we arrived at Kaiser Oakland at 6:08pm and at 9:49pm AJ arrived weighing in at 9.5lbs and measuring 22.5 inches long. We were fortunate to not only make it to the hospital where Brooke and Kevin feel comfortable, but to have the same Labor and Delivery nurse that guided and coached Brooke and her birthing team through having Payton. Three years, two months and 3 days later Nurse Julie was the one we all looked to once again for guidance and advice. Brooke is recovering and hoping her and AJ will get to come home Sunday or Monday. Payton met her brother for the first time Saturday night, she was very excited and saying Im a big sister. When Nancy and Stacy showed Payton the picture of AJ on Saturday morning Payton said AJ was naked, needed clothes and she was going to bring some that she bought for him to wear. Kevin and Brooke are grateful for all the calls and texts. They are enjoying this new experience. Thankful they can pick AJ up when they want to and not have to ask for assistance or worry about him being connected to monitors or cords.
