★ Key Systemic Shifts to Support Student Centricity ★ Minister elaborates on the following systemic shifts to support student centricity: 1. Broadening PSLE Scoring: We will move away from using the T-score, to scoring students in broader bands, similar to the ‘O’ and ‘A’ levels. For the next few years, MOE will focus on creating a more distinctive and diversified secondary school landscape to increase the number of attractive school choices. 2. Broadening DSA: DSA will be broadened to consider qualities like resilience, character and leadership for admission to our popular schools, without adding to the burden of assessment. We must create more opportunities for students from different backgrounds and strengths to interact and learn from one another. 3. Align School Excellence Model (SEM): We need to adjust the criteria in SEM by which our schools are measured to give our schools more space to design student-centric programmes, to better develop the breadth and depth of students, and to create distinctive schools. #wps2013
