Keys to a Vikings Victory tonight. 100% by me. Thoughts? (not saying that the will win with everything going against us, our list of players out, and playing in Green Bay, however TO win they have to do this. So dont say they wont win, just give input). -The Vikings featured a great rush attack on Sunday on their game against Atlanta where both Matt Asiata and fourth rounder rookie running back Jerrick McKinnon. The two together mustered up an incredible 213 yards on 38 carries. Including a three touchdown performance from Matt Asiata the second stringer. Both were lightly featured in the pass game as well. Impressive for any second and third string rushing tandem. While McKinnon is more of an outside rusher who is more likely to break lose and pick up big gains, its Asiata who takes the bulk of the scoring seeing those goal line carries when he pushes his way through the defense in a ground and pound style. Both effect last week, and will need to prove to do the same again against the leagues WORST rush defense. Not only should we expect carries from those two, but from Flash Patterson as well. Who has been silenced by defenses the past three weeks will be more open this week while the Packers struggle to cover the run. Dont forget Flash is his nickname due to his sheer speed and ability to run. Not only on screens, sweeps, or as a returner but as a back as well like he did against St.Louis posting 102 rushing yards and a touchdown. Expect to see that again tonight if the Vikings want a win. -The pass game will play a role, but not nearly as crucial as that of the rush. Play action, sweeps, an screens will be your best friend tonight mr.bridgerwater or mr.ponder. Jarius Wright was big last week and with Teddy playing he will be again. With Ponder playing well see more TE work which is a must tonight even Kyle Rudolph who is arguably the best hands on offense is out. Get Jennings involved as well deep though. We all heard the words he said just like he did last season. Hes going to trying to get open so let him burn that Green Bay secondary. -Special teams is self explanatory. Dont play like you did against New England and youre good. Walsh you need touchbacks, Loche you need deep punts. The less yards Rodgers and Jordy have to go the worse it is for you. Also Flash, take it to the house again. Please? Sherels you too? -On defense force them to run. Captain has to step up and Smith keep doing what he does in the back but pressure Rodgers. His O-line stinks. Dont let him pass. Thats what killed you when playing Brady and Brees. If you take away even some of the pass game, or even just Jordy they have to get the 28th ranked of 32 rush game going which we wont allow. So GET TO RODGERS! -Quarterbacking. Ill leave it as a rookie who was hot, and now has tape so will get taken down a notch and cant use his IMPORTANT feet due to ankle issues ...OR... a 3rd string PONDER. We want Teddy!
