Kherson - South Ukraine... Today I watched the Dutch news again. Stupid! I could have known. A report from Slavyansk is now the center piece, the nightly attack on a block post that left several people dead. Separatists are extensively interviewed, the mayor asking Putin to send his peacekeepers... The only things missing is the business card of Pravyi Sektors leader Yarosh that Russian tv produced. For the rest no indication this might be a provocation, not a word about the real mayor being kept hostage, only the remark that Ukraine is further disintegrating and unity seems out of reach... Wishful thinking? No, I dont think so. Bad journalism, lack of understanding, superficial reporting and, what is worse, very effective Putin propaganda. His words that he has the right to intervene are copied without commentary. Nobody thinks - hey, that is weird, isnt it? Imagine Merkel says she will send groups to Leeuwarden if the Dutch government in The hague cant keep the Frisians under control!
