Khushwant Singh is no more..one of my favourite authors.I loved his books..A train to Pakistan, Delhi,and best of all his autobiography.Truth ,love and a little Malice. He had built a reputation for coming up with something new and controversial in each book,and this tempted me to read his many books including Company of Women,Sun set Club and There is no God.None of the books disappointed me..they are very mature reading. When he came to know about the failed attempts of Harjinder Singh Jinda ( Killer of Gen Vaidya) he simply quoted Allama Iqbal, Row mein hai raks oer umar, kahaam deykheeye thamen, Na haath baagh par hai Na paa nakkali mein. (My life runs at a galloping pace who knows where it will come to a stop The reins are not in my hands my feet are not in the stirrups. He valued time and time also valued him. I bow to your great efforts,to your wonderful writings and the great meaningful life you lived Mr.Khushwant You had once written,Though I am nothing to look at,it is women who have sought my company more than I have sought theirs I am also one of those who love to spend some time in the company of your writings.
