Kia ora whanau. Many people have heard about 7 year old Sakurako who was randomly attacked by 4 dogs in Murupara last week while playing at her friends house. Sakurako remains in a critical condition in an Auckland Hospital after receiving bites to more than 90% of her face and body. The journey for her and her family has just begun, and this event has really shaken the town and affected many people from Murupara. Years and years of operations and recovery await this beautiful wee girl, and the town and country has really started to rally behind Sakurako and her family trying to raise money to help go towards some of the huge medical expenses that await, as the whanau are not entitled to assistance. Kohutapu Lodge would like to contribute to the cause, and thanks to this beautiful industry called TOURISM - we are able to do something to help. Today tickets will go on sale for a raffle which will see 3 lucky people win prizes valued at more than $4,399.00!!
