Killing Gadaffi or Saddam was a big mistake if they needed national peace and unity of Iraq and Libya respectively Sometimes, you need to engage or date unifying dictator over a long time in order bring about democracy promotion later in countries that have been under strong tyrants over some years. If multilateral efforts are not well thought and coordinated, IRAQ and LIBYA will fall apart and the actual winners will be the very Islamic Radicals the West fear and want to uproot... It is very clear that the US and its allies seem to have started a global war against religious extremist from a ghost position where they under estimated the life and strength of the enemy and now undertand that their estimation was wrong and misplaced because the fight is unsustainable on their side.
