Kim and I were selected to be the parents representative at the parting ceremony at Morehouse College new student orientation. We were honored to participate in this historic and meaningful ceremony. Our responsibility was to place the prayers and wishes that all parents wrote for our sons in the Howard Washington Thurman Memorial which sits in the form of an obelisk in front of the King Chapel. Dr Thurman was a world renowned Theologian who attended and taught at Morehouse College as well as Howard University and other major institutions. He played a major role in the development of Dr Kings approach on how to deal with segregation and racism. These pictures are inside the Thurman memorial after we placed the prayers and wishes on behalf of over 685 parents in it.
