Kind of a funny story last night. I was driving back from Panama City southbound on I75. It had been raining very heavy. I noticed a car had run off the roadway and was burried in the woods with headlights on. I pulled off the shoulder activated my emergency flashers and called 911. While talking with 911, I walked down to the car to check on the occupants. The occupant were ok. Both about 20 years of age and female. 911 had received several calls and had emergent personnel enroute but I was the only one that stopped. I told them I would stand by at the scene until emergency personnel arrived. After I hang up with 911 I noted the girls were frightened from the experience but were in good spirits. Taking a moment of levity, I glanced around at the car buried in the woods and commented, So.....You ladies into ecotourism or something? That was good enough to get them laughing. What I didnt say is, I hope you have Mutual of Omaha insurance because you are gonna need Marlin Perkins to get this car outta here.
