Kind of a weird chain of events to cause this reflection but thought Id share this for what its worth. Tonight the world mourns the tragic death of Robin Williams. Most of us have been an audience to some pretty fantastic performances by this incredibly talented man. Good Morning Vietnam, Mrs Doubtfire, Good Will Hunting, countless comedic performances etc. Real talent there. Since I was a young teenager Ive been blessed to work in the music field with some seriously talented folks. Im blessed to work every weekend with some really talented guys that just happen to be some of the most humble and genuine folks on the planet, not to mention being blessed to be friends with many many of the Christian Country Music community. Great people and great talents. Ive been influenced musically by some insanely talented people like Jeff Beck, Brent Mason, Steve Morse, Albert Lee, Al DiMeola, Billy Gibbons, Pat Travers, Brad Paisley etc. Ive witnessed vocal performances by some of the greats of our time and heard recordings by those gone on. Is it just me or has the world gone crazy. Have we lowered our intellect so much to be wowed by substandard drivel. What brought all this on you ask??? I just saw Kanye West perform for the first time.......REALLY???? Thats what all the fuss is about???? What does that dude have to be so arrogant about???? Sorry but I dont get it. And if you do....I wouldnt admit it.
