Kinda annoyed, going to say it. Every. Single. Thing. about the trayvon martin case was taken extremely out of context by the media and instead replaced with racism on both sides. As it was said in "Stand and Deliver", there are two kinds of racism, treating someone a certain way because they ARE a certain race, and treating someone a certain way because they ARE NOT a certain race. It might have been a murder, it might have been self defense. Unless you were there, unless you saw every single event unfold, please [and i say this with the utmost sincerity], stop talking/posting/tweeting/texting about what did or did not happen. And for everyone who posts about "THIS WAS COVERED BY MEDIA, WHAT ABOUT ALL OF THE OTHER MURDERS THAT HAPPENED THAT WERE NEVER COVERED!" That needs to stop as well. You have lived in this country for anywhere between 17 and 50ish years (range of my friends on facebook, not including a few relatives who are a bit above that). This is what is popular, this is what gets ratings, this is what the common-man cares about. Is it right? No. Should it be done? No. Is it what happens? Yes. Why? Because you watch it too. How many people who stated that it was wrong to only follow this case actually followed this case? Most likely the majority. You who argued it most likely watched it as well. Sure you may have watched the other cases as well, but that is not my argument. My argument is that you watched the trayvon martin case. You aided in the popularity this case gained, as I am probably doing right now. I am not taking a side one way or the other in whether Zimmerman was right or wrong in doing whatever it was that he did. However, the case is over. If you want to say R.I.P. to the young boy who died and give condolences to his family go ahead. If you want to say that Zimmerman did what he needed to do in order to protect himself as well as upheld his duty as neighborhood watch then go ahead. Do not however continue to uphold this racist BS that is currently taking over everything. There are already too many racist people in this day and age. Thought people would have learned by now.
