Kinda shamed myself yesterday when I was grooving to a cool song on Spotify and then saw that it was Nick Jonas hahahahaha I was so shocked cos it sounded like Prince or someone RnB..haha Anyway, was looking at this video and will give it Nick - he can really sing - but what grabs my attention here are the two Beautiful Black back up singer/groovers just taking the spotlight, in a graceful and effortless way. Made me contemplate how back up singers are universally pretty much always black - and what thats about. Well, they got IT. Thats what thats about. It made me see something - that regardless of a persons genealogy - known or unknown - that one of the truths is we can live in Harmony with what resonates in the SOUL. And as deep and complex as histories can be with ALL political repercussions, what really is Truth and Light, is that within each of us lay a choice. To let that light shine and fill our hearts. We can really give to our own SOUL journey so we can emanate on to each other. So Thanks Nick, but also Thanks Back Up Singers for bringing the Soul.
