Kindergarten, infant and junior pupils from Manor House School - TopicsExpress

Kindergarten, infant and junior pupils from Manor House School were spaced out by their recent visit to the National Space Centre. Kindergarten children had been studying a topic entitled The Moon and the World Around Us and were thrilled to see all of the exhibits. Year One pupils were learning about famous people and had already been finding out about Neil Armstrong whilst children in Year Five were just concluding a Space topic in their science lessons. All were excited to see a real rocket and space suits worn by actual astronauts! The visit included an excellent show in the Sir Patrick Moore Planetarium where future astronauts found out how to achieve their career goals. Pupils also had the opportunity to present the weather using technology which allowed them to review their on-screen performances. Head of juniors Samantha Pope said: The trip was extremely valuable as it provided many opportunities for independent scientific investigations.
