Kings Pointe was the scene of a massive disaster drill Tuesday night. The scenario was a collapse of a water slide, with numerous swimmers crushed, bloodied or unconscious. Police, firefighters, ambulance crews from all around the area, lifeguards and resort personnel all had a chance to hone rescue skills. Volleyball players from SLHS volunteered to portray the victims. Great job by all... hopefully these skills will never come into play, but its important to exercise them nonetheless. / Photos by Dana Larsen
