Kitchen Helpers/Junior Cooks (Peranakan Restaurant) - Orchard Job Position: Junior Cook/Kitchen Helper Key Function: To assist in the preparation and cooking of food Relationships: Reports directly to the Chef De Partie (CDP) or Sous Chef Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist in the preparation and cooking of food • To Follow all recipe cards and manuals as instructed by immediate superior • To assist in the maintenance, cleanliness & tidiness of the work area at all times • To use, maintain and clean all kitchen equipment in their proper way • To report all wastage’s or spoilage to the Head Chef, Sous Chef or CDP • To observe all company policies as stipulated by ‘The Employee Manual’ • To assist in the dishwashing responsibilities if needed Hiring Requirements: • Some experience in the kitchen would be ideal • Able to work in a fast-paced environment • Able to commit to a 5 day work week Able to start work immediately Location: Orchard Outlet Opening Hours: 12pm to 2am (weekdays) or 3am (weekends) Working Hours: 9 hours per day depending on schedule (1 hour break provided) 5-day work week. Transport Provided Home for those who work until closing. Uniform Provided. Meals Provided. Break-Times of 1 hour Provided.
