Cheepurupalli is one of the most developed town in vizianagaram district. This is one of the developed village in vizianagaram district. Chipurupalli is the commercial center for the 4 mandals and their respective villages. It is the main railway station center for 8 mandals in vizianagaram and srikakulam district. [edit]Education Chipurupalli is one of the most developed towns of Vizianagaram District in education. It has one Govt. Degree College, one Govt. Intermediate College, polytechnic college, and many private colleges and schools.One B.Ed College also available beside STATE BANK OF INDIA. Saint Theressa Institute of Technology is the one Engineering College in Chipurupalli and a distance of 6km from Chipurupalli center. However in that there is MBA, MCA and polytechnic courses also. [edit]Demography Cheepurupalli mandal has 58,000 population in 2001. Males consists of 29,036 and females 28,964 of the population. The average literacy rate is 52%, less than the national average of 59.5%. Male literacy rate is 63% and that of females 41%. Changed to Municipality in 2003 and later re changed to Major Panchayat by some political conflicts. [edit]Features Cheepurupalli Railway station is located on Howrah-Chennai mainline in Waltair division of East Coast Railway, Indian Railways. Rural Electrification Cooperative Society provides the electricity in this region. It houses the Ferro Manganese plant, which provides a source of employment for the residents. Andhra Bank and State Bank of India and also other banks has branches at Cheepurupalli. There are post offices at Cheepurupalli and Mettapalli. Gurajada Apparao, a famous historical poet studied his education in Chipurupalli for about 10 years. Kaspa Street is one of the oldest and historical streets in Chipurupalli. Gurajada Apparao lived in this street. The major streets in Chipurupalli are Anjaneyapuram, Kaspa Street, Kotta Gavidi Street, G.Agraharam, Kotta Agraharam etc. Lecturers colony and Vijay Colony are the streets with graduates. District level and State level competitions are held in Chipurupalli. [edit]Temples There are many temples in Chipurupalli. One of the famous temples is Sri Kanaka Mahalakshmi temple. There are two siva temples. There are venkateswara, santoshi matha, kota durga, santhana lakshmi, anjaneya, sai baba etc temples are there.
