#KnowThis The More We Own The More Enslaved We Become: I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though you know them, and are established in the present truth. - 2Pet 1:12 EVERY carnal and MATERIAL THING that you believe God wants you to have, or that you feel God has PROMISED because you’re a Christian, Satan is more than HAPPY to PROVIDE it for you. You WANT a CAR, a HOUSE, lots of MONEY, higher paying JOB, JEWELRY, DESIGNER CLOTHING, and LUXURIOUS LIVING – Satan will hook you right up! Too many Christians have been BAMBOOZLED by the forces of darkness into BELIEVING that all God wants for us is to BLESS US with WEALTH and MATERIALISM, and that FAVOR is the ACQUISITION and POSSESSION of BLESSINGS coming from God. There’s no mention on our part as to what God EXPECTS from us in order for us to RECEIVE from Him. NOWHERE in the Bible has God RICHLY blessed ANYONE with WEALTH or MATERIALISM, without them FIRST doing SOMETHING for Him. And under the New Covenant Jesus ushered in, we are COMMANDED to DO for God BEFORE even fixing our thoughts on what we NEED, WANT, DESIRE for Him to DO for us! We MUST seek FIRST God’s Kingdom, we MUST PURSUE SPIRITUAL TREASURE, we MUST spread the Gospel of SALVATION, we MUST abide in God’s Word, PRAY and FAST, and we MUST live HOLY, SANCTIFIED lives in Christ. Now once we have MET what God EXPECTS and REQUIRES from US, then can we consider what we want Him to do for US!!! But Satan has no such requirement as long as what you’re GIVEN becomes MORE IMPORTANT to you than what God does, and what God wants. But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. - 1Tim 6:9-10 * Then Jesus said, Beware!
