Knowing Gods Voice. Part 6 4. God speaks through CIRCUMSTANCES, NATURE and STILL SMALL VOICE. Go to the ANT, thou sluggard; consider her ways and be wiseProverbs. 6:6 The Lord can speak to us through objects e.g animals, just anything...and HIS STILL SMALL VOICE. One day while I was doing my laundry, I suddenly noticed a set of chicken running towards the mother hen. I was stucked by the sight. Like a force propelled me to, I focused closely on them. For a quick moment I reasoned within me; what on earth is giving these chickens a chase into the wings of the mother hen? Not long afterward I looked up and saw a big hawk parading the face of the beautiful sky seeking for a prey. I was baffled and ignorantly thought nothing is so special about the incident but I couldnt concentrate any more on my chores. The Holy spirit spoke to me. The mother hen signifies God. The chicken typifies Gods people. The hawk stands for the Devil/enemies/ problems and hurdles of life. Ordinarily, chicken do go home to roost under the wings of the mother hen for warmth equally they run into her wings for safety away from the hawk. Any chick that is left uncovered becomes a prey, captured and devoured by the hawk. The Holy Spirit through the still small voice went further and said Some people only come running to me ONLY when they have problems, faced with battles; some run away from me(backslide): some run after other gods when challenges come. There are some who are always coming home to roost(roost here means fellowship, love & communion) Psalm. 91:1 and 4. He that dwell in the secret place of the Most High... He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust... I was blessed and happy by this revelation and its lesson. God usually speaks to us through circumstances or animals and still small voice like my experience I just shared with you. Always be sensitive and calm in your spirit to hear Him.
