Knowing if someone is smart isnt really all that difficult. One of the ways I assess people is their ability to know fact from fiction. When someone says; There are no facts, well chances are you have a moron on your hands. Then there is the defense of the or making of the absolute statement. While there are absolutes in the Universe; absolute zero, absolute sterility, death, when one makes a statement about things implying an absolute; you should always question what they have said. The statement alone implies that they possess absolute knowledge of the a fact. First you have to weigh the subject matter; are there known facts? Then weigh the potential that the absolute authority on the subject has chosen you; to bestow their insight upon. Yeah, see how silly it sounds when you start to consider the source? Facts are funny things, like wisdom, they tend not to change; truths are often mutable or changeable, meaning there exist so many variables, truth cannot be defined as fact, truth remains forever in a to be verified state based on the trust you bestow upon the speaker, status. One key aspect of divining truth of a speaker is deciding if you accept the information, how much of your life will be affected. This plays into rumors, gossip, and social circles as a good many people would rather play politics rather than be a human relating to other humans. Information is power, always has been but it is how one uses or abuses that power, that one needs to be wary. See people willing to spill private information about people that trusted them enough to keep them in confidence, are almost certainly willing to embellish the story. After all they are willing to exploit what was already told to them in confidence, they already lied about keeping secret so whats adding to it, to make it devastating? These same people you see doing this, have no problem doing it to you as well; dont kid yourself, these are opportunist of the worst sort. Many of you may grasp these facts about humanity but for some of you this may be an epiphany. For others this may be an epiphany too as I have always known who is whom in all my social circles. The above is the beginners lessons, things my grandfather taught me as a child; I wrote may own set of rules and tells over the last 44 years, after learning the above. I will be sharing more too, as its time for people to learn how and who to trust. This is a free will thing, you can choose not to pay heed but trust will be the currency of the future and Im guessing, breaking a trust will become more and more lethal with each passing day.
