Knowledge Of The Truth... This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. - 1Tim 2:3-4 Knowledge of the truth is the power that makes people free from bondage. Salvation is not the final bus stop, we must go on to maturity through the knowledge of truth; Let us know, Let us pursue the knowledge of the LORD. His going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain, Like the latter and former rain to the earth. (Hosea 6:3 NKJV) • Jesus said to the news converts who believed in Him saying, If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:31-32 NKJV) > Although some of them thought they were not in any bondage for being the children of Abraham, like many Christians today, they answered Him, “We are Abraham’s descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can You say, ‘You will be made free’?” Then Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. (John 8:33-36 NKJV) • Their religion that was based on the law of Moses(law of sin and death) is evidence of living in bondage, and it is only the knowledge of the truth that can make them free. And Jesus is that truth; Also Jesus says, “I am...the truth...No one comes to the Father except through Me...For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice...I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live...I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own...And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd...My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. (John 10:14, 16, 27-28; 5:25; 18:37; 14:6 NKJV) • Every sheep of the great Shepherd Jesus Christ of Nazareth naturally desires to know and follow His voice. We dont stop at salvation of our soul, we must grow up into Him; But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift...And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. (Ephesians 4:7, 11-16 NKJV) • We are saved and gifted to be speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— from whom the whole body, joined and knit together. > Thats why Peter said to the brethren, Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious. Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. (I Peter 2:1-5 NKJV) • When you stop growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, you will be tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting; You will let people cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ; You let them judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ; You let them cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind (Colossians 2:8, 16-18. 2Peter 3:18 NKJV) > Jesus said, Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers...Then Jesus said to them again, “Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. (John 10:1-5, 7-8 NKJV) • You cannot know Jesus by being among the crowd of people following Him. You cant know JESUS by praying and performing in His name. You cant know JESUS by receiving miracles and feeding in His name. You can only know Jesus by revelation knowledge. > Here is an example: When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?” So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 16:13-17 NKJV) • Yes, many today are still following Jesus as John the Baptist, religious leader, king David, Moses, Elijah, and Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” They need the help of the Holy Spirit to come to a knowledge of the truth. > Jesus said, But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you...However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you. (John 16:13-15; 14:26 NKJV) • The truth is not the sermon you hear in your church or from people by other means; the truth is JESUS Christ and it takes revelation from the Holy Spirit to know Him. The work of the Holy Spirit does not stop at salvation; And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me; of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged. (John 16:8-11 NKJV) > We need the leading and teaching of the Holy Spirit; for now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. (I Corinthians 2:12 NKJV) • God has given us His Son and everything to enjoy, the work of the Holy Spirit is reveal them to us. To bring to pass the sayings of Jesus, for He said, there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known. (Luke 12:2 NKJV) > Theres no reason for you to remain in the shackles of ignorance the religious leaders has bound you with. No more secret, for we are children of the revealing Light - 1Thes 5:5. • Religious leaders, like political leaders dont want people to know the truth. Religious leaders will support their holding in bondage with some portions of the bible like this one that said, The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law...For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. (Deu 29:29. 1Cor 13:12 NKJV) > But the voice of Truth says, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God...And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth...And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace...No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him...For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known...Then He turned to His disciples and said to them, Blessed are the eyes which see the things you see; for I tell you that many prophets and kings have desired to see what you see, and have not seen it, and to hear what you hear, and have not heard it.” (Jn 1:1,14,16,18. Lk 12:2; 10:23-24 NKJV) + Now you can know all things of God in the land of the living, and as Paul prayed; I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. Amen and Amen! (Eph 1:17-21) Hallelujah!
