Knowledge versus inner wisdom Lot of people these days telling you what to do or how things are: Let go of ... There is no ... You just .... We must ... Yes, there is knowledge. You can find it in several books (for instance about non-duality) and many people know the words, the lyrics. But did these words you read in books and hear from other people change your life, even a little bit? For real? Did your life change even a tiny speckle when you hear someone say “There is no you” for the thousandth time? Did you fell of your chair and cried: “Ah! Of course! Why didn’t I come up with that? Now I’m free and my life is beautiful!”? Probably not. If it were that simple, everyone would be happy, healthy and prosperous. And we all know thats not the case. And still you can hear people telling the same old clichés over and over again. Although quite understandable, none of these words and phrases will do anything else than give the person who shares them their own endorsement. Nothing wrong with that (nothing wrong with anything at all!) In time they will learn to communicate. But to gain wisdom or change the way you experience your life, its more effective to tap into your own wisdom. Everybody learns in different ways, and only you know what is the best way for you to gain wisdom. Not only knowlegde or insight, but wisdom. Wisdom flows without worry about knowledge or rules. Wisdom flows. A nice way to discover your own wisdom is to ask yourself questions. In this way you move gradually from predigested knowledge to inner wisdom. And your inner wisdom is the best wisdom for you. You can ask yourself several questions that will help you to tap into your wisdom. A few examples: Is it true what I hear, read, see, experience right now? How can I be sure its true? Is it abiding? (and if not, can it still be true?) Can I let this [knowledge/experience/feeling/emotion] go? If not: why not? There are many good sources to help you find more questions. One of them is The Sedona Method by Hale Dwoskin: a simple but effective way to help yourself let go of the emotions that block your flow of wisdom. Here is a link, you can get a free video that teach you this beautiful technique. sedona. com/home (remove space after sedona.) Another good source to help you find your way to inner wisdom is The Work by Byron Katie.
