Kobina Nyanteh was on a break in Accra from the hinterlands. He was taking his usual early evening stroll from Ridge through Cantonments and Burma camp, as he contemplated how to double the size of cassava in Hwediem. Then near the intersection towards El Wak he saw a little boy of about 8 years straining hard to press a large switch on a concrete plinth-like doorpost of a brown, low rise, Army, building, but failing on each occasion as the switch was too high for him. Kobina strode gallantly to the building and pressed the switch. He looked down at the cherubic boy, smiled and said: now what? The boy turned around, gestured to a group of commandos dashing over from the outpost to the right, and said, Now you run.
