Kogi State Governor, Captain Idris Wada has released 49 convoy drivers for ALL the top government officials in the state including 3 safety managers to the Federal Road Safety Corps, (FRSC) for training. The state FRSC Sector Commander, Mr Godwin Omiko, told confirmed that the drivers included those in the convoy of the Governor and other top government officials. He said the training became necessary to equip the drivers with modern techniques of driving in convoy, to ensure the safety of other road users including the Executives they drive. He said with the development, Governor Wada had granted an earlier demand for the drivers to undergo formal training to ensure their competence. He noted that the FRSC had trained over 700 drivers from the 36 states governments and the FCT earlier.
