Konduga-Auno politic and late Usman Umar Auno. Konduga is one - TopicsExpress

Konduga-Auno politic and late Usman Umar Auno. Konduga is one of d 27 local governments in Borno It has a large number of registered voters n one of largest in terms of landmass. Politically it is one of d important LGs in d state politics. There are 11 wards in d LG,with four districts headquarters comprised of Konduga district,Auno district,Masba district n Dalori district. Among these districts, Auno district is d largest in every aspect-in population,in economy, number of literates, landmass n so on. To make it more vivid, present Auno district(one of d olden district headquarters in Borno state(established around 1907 according to some accounts) has five village heads with many wards heads n politically it has two major wards out of d 11 wards in d LG. It has two major markets- jakana n tungushe markets, n a motor park popularly called tashan journey(these economically contribute about 28% of our IGR. Konduga local government is divided into two axis for a political conveniences; Konduga axis n Auno axis. The political arrangement since from the inception of this political dispensation is that once konduga axis produces d chairman of d LG then Auno axis will produce d member of d state house of assembly. That arrangement was d one that produced Kaka Mallam Yale as chairman in 1999 n Late Hon. Usman Umar Auno as d member house of assembly. In 2003/2004 LG election equally, Abba Sheriff became chairman n Hon. Bulama yajiwa succeeded late Usman Auno. Its goes like this. Till in 2012 wen our member late Modu Bintumi was assassinated after winning d election in 2011. Ali Bukar Dalori was elected to fill d vacuum created with al challenges n d caretaker chairmanship was naturally shifted to Auno axis to balance d power sharing in d LG,as explained earlier . Unfortunately, YaUsman died just some few months in d holy land after a brief illness n everything turn to upsidedown with d latest announcement of caretaker chairmen in d state. Assuming, late usman Umar Auno is alive,he should have voiced out n may b be heard. Because Auno district has nothing d power sharing of today. In Borno state today,Auno people are experiencing a political apartheid from our brothers from konduga axis. In that axis, they have only 40% of votes putting all their six wards of Konduga, Kauri, malari, dalori,Yale n Ajiri. Auno ward alone today, can produced 38% of total votes of d LG if not 40%. Apart from d other four wards which may account to about 32% of total votes. Pls dont judge. Read my reasons: Auno ward of today comprising Auno town, njimtilo town,Moworamti,333 barrack, tashan journey,1000 housing,777 housing, pompommari, chabbol 1,2,3,tungushe,Yawal,fashar. Each of these town/ village is more populated than even konduga which is d headquarters of d LG. Auno ward is d largest n populated wards in d LG. But surprisingly, all d positions (power sharing) so far given in d LG,none was allocated to this large area to attract votes from d area n no one seems to care. I wonder if at all his excellency is being briefed accordingly by this cabals n proper things to b done? Presently,d chairman of CTC from konduga. State member house of assembly from Konduga( till there is an election). Local government party chairman n secretary from konduga. Local government youth n women leaders from konduga. Kai, d state party chairman is from konduga. Habaaaa! If u are interested in this 38% votes, u should have left konduga wit d state party chairman who is expected to have some impact in that axis to his party as d state chairman n at least give Auno axis even d LG party chairmanship to a party structure balancing. Since konduga produces d state member house of assembly,at least u should have given d Auno axis d chance to produce d chairman CTC for a fair distribution of power as tradition demands. However,in d Auno axis we have people that are more qualified than those currently occupying the position both political wise n educational wise. Late Usman Umar Auno left us to a journey of no return but there are a lot grassroot politicians who can b anything in Auno axis n can do their best. May d gentle soul of our father b in peace with its maker. Though, there is an insinuation that d positions of commissionership n senior adviser were left to d axis n with some few contenders. Who ever will have that opportunity is a good idea but let that person b a mass mobiliser not an unpopular one. We will soon trace d political history of the contenders n d possibility n their ability to actualise d political dream of their paymasters. We will call them by name n analyse their political relevance but b careful who to choose. Engr Kabir Mohammed Wanori is another strong contenders so far. But to me,d death of Usman Umar Auno marked d dark age of political management of our people in konduga politics. However,u cannot also afford to lose d 38% votes of area whoever wishing to contest . We will make sure we mobilise our Aunorians from every angle n tell them to stand firm against any form of apartheid like political or power sharing among d equal axis. Long live federal republic of Nigeria. Long live Borno state. Long live konduga LG. Long live Auno District. May d gentle soul of Yausman b in firduas. Ameen summa.a amenn
