#Kroos dream to united is valid Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has stayed in Munich following last nights Champions League clash with Bayern as he steps up efforts to complete a £40m summer swoop for Toni Kroos, according to The Mirror. Kroos helped Bayern complete a 4-2 aggregate victory over United at the Allianz Arena last night, but has spent much of the last two months being strongly linked with a Premier League switch thanks to a surprise impasse over contract talks. The 24-year-olds current Bayern deal expires next summer and United are willing to take advantage with a whopping offer at the close of the campaign, but only if Kroos makes it clear he wants a fresh challenge. United chief Woodward is desperate to close deals for top targets quickly and avoid a repeat of last summers transfer nightmare, which saw United miss out on a string of top midfield targets including Thiago Alcantara and Cesc Fabregas. Woodward has decided to extend his stay in Munich for 24 hours in an attempt to get straight answers from Kroos or his representatives over the feasibility of completing a blockbuster transfer, with United conscious that the German international might be using speculation as bait to land a bumper-pay rise at Bayern. Red Devils boss David Moyes does not believe that losing Champions League football will hamper his chances of securing deals for quality reinforcements, although if Kroos is indeed looking to leave Bavaria a fierce fight for his signature could take place with a host of clubs across the continent.
