Ksenija Lukich wins the dream job as E! Australia’s new host A SYDNEY University arts graduate has landed the TV gig of a lifetime. Confidential can reveal 24-year-old Ksenija Lukich is E! Australia’s new host, beating thousands of applicants to the plum job that will see her travel the world interviewing some of the biggest names in show business. “It has not been an easy couple of weeks,” Lukich told HWTM. “They really ran us through the ringer. I want to have a long successful career. E! is an amazing network and there are so many places I can go and just develop in the entertainment industry.” Lukich grew up in Sydney’s Northern Beaches and attended SCEGGS Redlands. She has modelled for the past seven years, which helped pay her bills while studying a bachelor of arts in English and history at the University of Sydney. She is signed to Scoop Management locally and Next Models in New York. “It’s been mostly print and commercial, some television commercials,” she said of her modelling, which has included a commercial for McDonald’s. E! superstar Giuliana Rancic flew in from Los Angeles for the announcement, posing for this exclusive photo with Lukich. “What got me the job in the first place was being different,” said Rancic, also an ambassador for Westfield. “So I think the most important thing is Ksenija should be herself and bring something unique to the table, that’s what makes you stand out.” Initially, Lukich will report on local red carpets gigs but her aim is to travel to major awards ceremonies such as the Oscars. “I’m fairly new to it all but I’m very eager to learn. I have always loved fashion, entertainment and celebrity so I’m quite passionate about it all.” Of her arts degree, she laughed: “I spent three years studying so I would hope I am smart. It is nice to be doing something where I hope I can show my intelligence and use my skills a little bit more.”
