Kshamaa Rao’s death widely condoled ‘Kashmir lost its spokesperson, there in Mumbai’ Srinagar: Renowned writer and Journalist hails from Mumbai who happens to be the Sub Editor at Kashmir based News portal ‘Only Kashmir’ Ms Kshamaa Rao (31) passed away during the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday at Mumbai. The death of Kshamaa Rao was widely condoled. People from different walks and shades of life termed her demise as a “big loss” which would be difficult to fill. Born on 7 February, 1981 Kshamma Rao, by profession a Cyclogist, Writer and Journalist and a senior member of an NGO passed away on 11th July at her parent residence in Mumbai due to cancer. Kshamma Rao (penname) who happens to be one of the Sub Editors and Bureau Chief Mumbai to Kashmir based news portal onlykashmir.in (Only Kashmir), secretly accepted Islam a couple of years ago. Her dead body was burnt through Alkaline Hydrolysis. In this connection, a condolence meeting was held at the office of the Jammu and Kashmir Young Journalist Association which was presided over by its president Ajaz Ibn Yousuf. The meeting was attended by all its members, the meeting prayed for eternal solace to the departed soul. Describing her true lover of Kashmir nominated Mufti Azam Jammu and Kashmir state and the son of present grand Mufti expressed grief and sorrow on the sad demise of Kshamaa Rao who passed away on 11th of July 2013. In his condolence massage to her family and the Chief Editor ‘Only Kashmir’ Bilal Bashir Bhat, Mufti Nasir Islam said that I was personally shocked by her death. She was a dynamic lady who passed away in her young age. Her sudden death has created a space that cannot be fulfilled. She was noble, kind hearted and decent lady. She had a great feeling for Kashmir. I offer my condolences to her family and all members of Only Kashmir. Chairman Peoples Political Party Engineer Hilal Ahmad War expressed deep sense of shock and sorrow over the death of eminent Journalist and writer Kshamaa Rao. While condoling the death of deceased Er Hilal War said that Kashmir has lost a spokesperson over there in Mumbai. “May Allah keep the pious soul of Kshamaa Rao in Jannah. She was our good friend and a sympathizer of Kashmir Cause, particularly PPP ideology. Her death is personal loss for all of us. She will always remain in heart of hearts,” he added. Meanwhile the state senior Congress leader Mr. Yasir Pandit in a statement said that I’m deeply saddened to read the report on the death of Kshamaa Rao who happens to be associated with Kashmir’s one of the leading News portal ‘Only Kashmir’. “I extend my heartfelt condolences with the bereaved family and the Chief Editor Only Kashmir, Bilal Bashir Bhat. May her soul be bound up in the bond of eternal life. Her memory will be a source of wonder and blessing for our community,” the statement reads. While terminating Kshamaa Rao as the symbol of humanity and a true friend of Kashmiries, Mahaz-e-Azadi senior leader Muhammad Yousuf Gilkar said “I pray for the departed soul and extend my condolences and sympathy with the bereaved family,” he added. “We have lost an honest columnist. God had given her numerous skills and she was well versed with both English Urdu and Hindi languages,” he said. Meanwhile the renowned writer and the former Bureaucrat of Jammu and Kashmir state Khawaja Farooq RenzuShah also offered condolence to the bereaved family members and the Only Kashmir team and prayed that may ALLAH give courage to them to bear the loss. Meanwhile Editor in Chief Only Kashmir conveyed his deepest condolences to the deceased family and friends there in Mumbai. In his condolence letter to Kshamaa’s family Bilal Bashir Bhat said “that you must take comfort in the knowledge that you are not the only people who have lost someone dear; the entire Only Kashmir team is in loss. Please accept my heartfelt condolences on behalf of ‘Only Kashmir’ and the people whom are known to Kshamaa here in Kashmir,” the condolence letter reads. Posted By: Only Kashmir
