Kubrick trailer case study. The trailer for A Clockwork Orange - TopicsExpress

Kubrick trailer case study. The trailer for A Clockwork Orange lasts just under a minute and employs flash cuts of disturbing imagery set to the William Tell Overture played by Wendy Carlos at five times the normal speed. Again, the trailer is wordless and reveals nothing about the plot, but is both disturbing and compelling. Produced on a very low budget of $2.2 million, it earned $26.6 in North American theatrical screenings. It has proved one of Kubricks most popular and culturally iconic films. Its success earned him a permanent residence at Warner Brothers, who would finance the rest of his films until his death. https://youtube/watch?v=JV-AXLbG44o
