Kudos to Honorable jUSTICE Virendra Bhatt Friends, The intelligent and revered judiciary of the country has been doing a remarkable job in delivering unique judgments in extremely complex matters pertaining to the obnoxious rape, subsequent despicable murders and incessant exploitation of women in Delhi and various parts of the country. After having delivered stringent sentences of capital punishment to the hardened criminals of the country in cases pertaining to rape of Nirbhaya and Kiran Negi of Najafgarh, Delhi, a recent judgement given by Additional Sessions Judge of Dwarka Session Court Mr. Veerendra Bhatt sentences a senior official of National Human Rights Commission to seven years behind bars with rigorous imprisonment including fine of Rs., 1 lac 50 thousand in a case of bigamy and rape under the false pretext of marrying a widow. The charges leveled against the accused while delivering this historic judgement are under section 376 and 493 of IPC. The Delhi Women Commission , its chairperson Barkha Shukla Singh, former member Dr. Renny Jacob and the intelligent legal counsellor Sasmita Tripathy, who also happens to be an advocate of the Apex Court, played a significant role in ensuring speedy and expeditious delivery of justice by way of quick registration of FIR against the accused husband and pursuing the matter to the hilt. Today, the complainant is too relieved after receiving the fair justice and expeditious judgement by honorable additional Sessions judge Mr. Bhatt and is literally extending her gratitude to the DCW as well for the maximum support extended by them in this grave hour of crisis.
