Kudos to Mayor Gluba. Should it really be a debate about caring for children? Gluba has gone against the state governor and many others by standing up and doing what he feels is the morally correct thing to do and not treating these children as criminals. They have found sponsor families to care for 139 of these kids so far. The governor of Iowa feels that they should be immediately deported, contrary to federal law enacted in 2008, stating that minors found by the Border Patrol will be turned over to the Dept. of HHS, and proper housing be found for htem until their cases are processed.
