Kunak Foundation Project Receives International Recognition Abuja – 27th January, 2014 – The Anjeed Innova Group is proud to announce that the Kunak Foundation was selected as a semifinalist in the USADF & GE Power Africa Off-Grid Energy Challenge. Although the proposal to electrify a medical clinic in Zikpak, Kafanchan, Kaduna State was not chosen as one of three finalists, selection as a semifinalist is an achievement that affirms Anjeed Innovas commitment to ZERO HARM solar energy projects. The United States African Development Foundation (USADF) supports African-designed and African-driven solutions that address grassroots economic and social problems, encouraging economic growth and social development. A njeed Innova Group CEO Gideon Nyan stated that supporting the Kunak Foundations community efforts is deeply in line with the fundamental beliefs of Anjeed Innova Group. Though it is sad the Zikpak clinic did not make the final three and receive funding, selection as a semifinalist is an important achievement. Results of the USADF & GE Power Africa Off-Grid Energy Challenge Round 1 can be found on the USADF website at usadf.gov/. Anjeed Innova and the Kunak Foundation will continue to seek alternatives to fund the electrification of the Zikpak clinic with solar power, and will faithfully maintain ZERO HARM in each phase of the project.
