Kurds, ISIS terrorists in fierce battle for Syrian border city LONDON (CBS) - Coalition warplanes are on the move in Syria trying to wipe out ISIS militants. Islamic State fighters are reportedly using scare tactics to seize more territory. U.S.-led forces are fighting ISIS from above as Kurdish forces try to beat back Islamic State fighters moving deeper into the Syrian town of Kobani. ISIS militants reportedly beheaded nine Kurdish fighters, including three women who were captured in battle. Human rights activists say ISIS is trying to scare people out of the region so they can take more territory. Turkeys government is considering sending troops into Syria or Iraq and letting allies use Turkish bases to attack ISIS fighters. In northern Iraq, Kurdish forces seized a border crossing and several villages from Islamic State fighters. Its one of the biggest successes since U.S.-led forces began striking ISIS targets in the region. British officials released a video showing a Royal Air Force jet taking out an armed ISIS pickup truck. Iraqi leaders say the ISIS army is now changing its tactics to avoid getting hit.
