Kwapis, Aaron Obituary 05/17/2013 Aaron Thomas Kwapis, 36 of Gaylord died May 17, 2013. He was born on March 12, 1977 in Gaylord to Thomas Raymond and Gayle Anne (Cowles) Kwapis. Aaron was a truck driver by trade, but was extremely passionate about his position with the Gaylord Fire Department. In 2001, Aaron was in a near fatal semi accident. He was proud to learn how to walk again at the same time his daughter, Jasmine, was learning to walk for the first time. He is survived by his loving daughter, Jasmine Marie Kwapis; parents, Thomas and Gayle Kwapis; sister, Joy (Robb) Rodabaugh; nieces, Wrenna and Mikayla Rodabaugh; nephew, Dylan Rodabaugh. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph and Dorothy Kwapis Sr and Ernest and Violet Piehl Cowles. Funeral service will be held Monday, May 20 at 11 AM from the Gaylord Evangelical Free Church. Visitation at the Nelson Funeral Home will be held on Sunday May 19 from 6-8 PM and will continue on Monday at the Church from 10 AM until the hour of service. Memorial Contributions in memory of Aaron Kwapis may be made to the family, to establish a fund for Aaron’s daughter, Jasmine, through the Nelson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1548 Gaylord, MI 49734.
