Kyle Mullins Yesterday, 9-16, I celebrated 10 months of sobriety. Never in the 6 long years I was in active addiction I dreamed that my life would be what it is today. In 10 months I saved my relationship with my partner, got an amazing career and started traveling. Which was something I could have never done in active addiction. Opiates robbed me of success and happiness. It masked the pain and unhappiness I loved with every day. It robbed my partner of being able to love the real me. It took the risk of me going to jail and killing myself to realize that there is so much more to life than a pill. Today, I celebrate my partner, my faith and my passion for living. Today, I celebrate life and I celebrate other addicts. I celebrate those seeking sobriety and those who still suffer. I pray for recovery for all and the life of the world to come.
