Kym Gillies asked, I really could use some advice here, because I am at a loss. I have an 8-year-old 2nd grader. This is our first year homeschooling and so far he has hated it! He is very social and misses interacting with others. I also am not 100% sold on our current curriculum (Classical Conversations). I know the program is great, but it does not seem a good fit for us. This being our first year, I think we would have done better with a boxed curriculum or some kind of lesson plans. I am just not sure what is best. My son has hated schoolwork of any kind since he started school. I do not know how to make it enjoyable for him. He is very smart and has been reading since he was 6. He used to be good at math and now it has been such a struggle! I feel like since I started homeschooling, it has only strained our relationship more instead of bringing us closer. Ugghhh!!!! We do computer work, written work, outside classes, and lots of reading. I am not sure if I can change curriculum in the middle of the year. And if so, not sure which one. There seems to be so many good ones out there.
