Kyrgyzstan Focus: radio electronic and high frequency devices and hazardous chemicals. The import documentation for Kyrgyzstan has been reviewed and amended accordingly. The following changes have been made: Radio Electronic and High Frequency Devices The document required for the customs clearance of radio electronic devices and high frequency units is a Permit to Import Radio Electronic Devices and High Frequency Units issued by the Kyrgyz State Communication Agency. The respective document of this report has been provided with a sample of this permit. For further information on the requirements for the importation of such products, please turn to the abovementioned document and to the section on Technical Equipment and Electronic Devices below. Hazardous Chemicals The exportation of hazardous pesticides and chemicals covered by the Rotterdam Convention on the Prior Informed Consent Procedure for Certain Hazardous Chemicals and Pesticides in International Trade must be notified to the responsible authority in the exporting country, which forwards the information to the responsible authority in the importing country. The newly elaborated document entitled Export Notification for Goods Coming under the Rotterdam Convention contains the details of the notification procedure. Moreover, the document Material Safety Data Sheet, which may have to be enclosed with the export notification, has been added to the report. For further information on requirements for chemicals and pesticides, please refer to the section on Pesticides and Controlled Chemicals in this overview. Other Changes The documents to be enclosed with the application for the Permit to Import Endangered Species Covered by CITES and Products Thereof have been revised. Furthermore, the document entitled Registration of Pesticides has been updated as regards the procedural details, such as the processing time and the number of copies of the application to be submitted
