#LA: As soon as it was announced that the Buffalo Bills were for sale, I knew the calls would start coming and some people would get excited and start chanting, L.A.’s getting a football team! I was interviewed by a Buffalo News reporter on this perceived threat of the Buffalo Bills moving to L.A. You can read my interviews here and here. I explained that I’ve been strung along too many times by the National Football League (NFL) and there’s no way I can envision a team coming here. The Raiders aren’t coming down from Oakland, the Rams are long gone, and the Chargers have a devoted following in San Diego. Plus there are numerous sports bars and an innumerable amount of cable channels for fans to catch games. The City has even come to the conclusion that we need to stop chasing this runaway pipe dream. Council is expected to vote on Wednesday, June 4 regarding ‘Plan B’ for the Convention Center, which would move forward on plans to build a hotel and add exhibition space to the center.
