LAKE HAMILTON HIGH SCHOOL MARCHING BAND PERFORMS AT THE WALT DISNEY WORLD RESORT Students take part in the Disney Performing Arts Program in Orlando, Fla. Members of the Lake Hamilton High School Marching Band became stars of their own Disney show on June 10, 2014 when they entertained resort guests at the Magic Kingdom Park. The group traveled from Pearcy, Ark. to the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida to take part in the Disney Performing Arts program. The marching band, under the direction of Jon Shultz, entertained hundreds of Magic Kingdom Park guests as they marched down Main Street, U.S.A. and around Cinderella Castle into Frontierland. This was the school’s fifth visit to the resort with the Disney Performing Arts program. Dance, vocal and instrumental ensembles from all around the world apply to perform each year as a part of Disney Performing Arts at both the Disneyland Resort in California and the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Once selected, they are given the opportunity to perform at the resort for an international audience of theme park guests.
