LARC Godzilla Div 4 @ San Diego Armada - Match Report It was a nice cool day in San Diego. We are at “Little Q”, a great pitch of OMBAC just by Qualcomm Stadium. LARC Godzilla will face Armada which hasn’t won any game this season. We have to beat them to avoid the last position at Division 4. Today we only have 14 players. Armada gives us 6 players to play with us. 1st half Godzilla played well for the first 15 minutes. From a lineout at the opponent’s 22 meter line, Yoshi made an excellent long pass to Bozho, full back, bypassing two centers. Bozho made great gains just until the goal line; however, the referee called a throw forward for the pass which was a bad call. We lost a chance. 15’ Bozho attempted a drop goal. It was just missed. 20’ Armada backs started running well. Godzilla could stop a center back who made a try. Conversion was successful. Godzilla 0 – Armada 7 Godzilla defended well; however, gave away two tries and 1 conversion respectively 31’ and 40’. 1st half ended with the score of Godzilla 0 – Armada 19. 2nd half Once again Godzilla’s defense was torn apart in 2nd half. Godzilla gave away 6 tries and 2 conversions. There are a few chances Godzilla could have scored. Final score Godzilla 0 – Armada 53. We need to work on our defense once again.
